Stanford d.school: View From The Future

View From The Future was a new course offered at the Stanford d.school. This course spotlighted a diverse array of forward-thinking innovators, designers, entrepreneurs, and visionaries, offering a glimpse into a wide spectrum of potential futures and the challenges and opportunities that will define them. Each week, speakers delved into topics such as the Future of Climate Tech, the Future of Ocean, the Future of Fashion, the Future of Agriculture, and more!

This inaugural speaker series immersed students in the world of tomorrow, introducing them to industry trailblazers who are shaping groundbreaking organizations and leading innovative careers at the intersection of design and technology. Rather than fixating on specific technologies (e.g. AI or Augmented Reality), the series uncovered how leading innovators are designing for the future. Students explored the pivotal role that design plays—and will continue to play—in shaping these exciting new horizons. The series examined how emerging technologies are not only reimagining the future, but also paving the way for exciting and unprecedented career paths.
